You can do the best diet on earth & if you've been on steroids all your life you probably will flair severely, even on "only" topical steroids. I wish I had an easy answer, but it appears these steroids do cause severe withdrawl symptoms which patients are not warned about. All I can say is, it is hell. The difficulty is that one cannot distinguish the sympoms caused by the underlying AD with those caused by steroid withdrawl. To date this withdrawl effect has been denied & legitmate patient fears are labled "steroid phobia". This is an issue which needs urgent attention from medical professionals. Tweet
