can I start an enema on my RIGHT side?

To get the solution as deep into colon as possible it is necessary to change the position to the right side towards the end. I find it really difficult to move during enema.
Is it possible / advisable to start an enema on the right side? Are there any dangers in doing so? Is it less effective that way?
