Re: God Disciplines His Sons

This is so important to study. We sometimes put all of our focus on God's grace. And, we believe once we are saved, we just wait for God to speak, but we are called to learn what he has already spoken as well. In the beginning Jesus was the Word. And we are given this living word to learn the will of God.

What kind of a parent would have a child then not teach and discipline him.Today, I think many parents have not set boundaries, and they are only friends to their children. I see a decline, in apparent common sense, and a lack of purpose in the unfortunate children who are not disciplined and then left to learn their wisdom from all the ungodly sources, the devil has handily waiting to ensnare them. But, through His saving grace, thank God, He can rescue them if they ask, from the sinful path they find themselves on. Or if a praying parent recognizes their mistakes and turns to God to interceed in prayer for their children. Anytime we turn back to God, He is always waiting with open arms to receive us as His Children, like the story of the prodigal son. Tweet
