This was certainly something I was told, on receiving an abnormal result from a pap smear, also my daughter, and many women friends were told that they have HPV. I was also told that due to my mothers death from breast cancer, that I was a high risk for getting cervical cancer, Breast Cancer ovarian cancer.

So its a good idea to question any test results, and as usual, do your own research.
