I was quite flattened by the onslaught of contradicting dietary opinions out there. And made myself live on some rather awful but supposedly healthy and high-tech anti-inflammatory concoctions. Finally a TCM practitioner made me tune down my intellectual mind (not junk food guard) to allow me to listen to my higher self and the seasons. If the body doesn't want it right now, there is probably a reason. I found this really helpful, especially during the heavy Herx times and interestingly enough found out later on that most of these odd and short-lived cravings covered my needs at the time perfectly. Thanks to Newport I now realize it's a basic form of dowsing. Too simple.
I have a recipe for starting sourdough, it's quite involved though and success is highly variable. Check around, you are better off getting a viable starter from someone. I do have some good sourdough recipes, if you succeed. Here are some other links that may work for you once you pick up some energy. Initially I mostly made large pots of hearty broths/soups when I could and froze portions for tougher days. Up and onwards, Musi. It's a slow haul, and a huge learning curve for all of us.
