Re: lyme sufferers can you share what helps you?
Musi, I initially started with Abx, but found the main stuff that seems to work for me is:
1. Exercise - followed Burrascano's recommendations. Workouts with weights in the gym, rotated with a light cardio workout the next day. Don't over-exert (if the core temp drops after the workout it was too much). Reserve most cardio until you feel up to it or you will exhaust yourself even more. Working the muscles groups improves circulation, lymph drainage, oxygenation and elimination, all hated by anaerobic bacteria. Huge incentive for me! And I got an endorphin boost, great for the depressional side of things. I do a couple of glasses of ozonated water before to give it more of a kick. Important to give your system the proper energy boost during/after, blend up some home-made organic energy shakes (like banana, hempseed, dates, flaxoil, coconut milk, whey, fruit). Dry brushing and Sauna as well(too much for me at the very beginning)to really get the Lymph moving and sweat a few toxins out . For some reason I really craved some peppermint oil with that. (?)
2. Chelation. I did a toxic element hair sample (Doctor's Data) that provided some idea of toxic and other elements and was a guideline to supplementation. Expensive, but I think worth it. It took a little while to really feel the benefit of chelation, but overall a huge item. I had a lot of
Amalgams but had them all removed before Lyme hit (but ended up with a lot of
root canals :( ) so I did ALA (after some misguided naturopath treatment - wish I'd heard of A. Cutler sooner). I also incorporated glutathione precursers into my supplements/diet.
3. As much Rifing as I could fit in.
4. Supplements. I experimented and traded off a lot, many things also mentioned in this forum plus Rechtsregulat (Klinghardt), S. Buhner's herbal protocol (not as a stand-alone), Ormed Alkabase, for sure MagMalate, Molybdenum, Omega 3 (craved smoked makarel for a long time). Started to dowse (move supplement slowly toward solar plexus and observe pos/neg reaction).
5. Anti-inflammatory and whole food diet. Local organic produce, I switched white
Sugar for succanat and used
Sea Salt only. It knew energy available to my system was very finite, and faulty digestion is a huge drain on that. No more pollutants or foods hard to digest. Hearty soups (made my own), fermented grains to ensure proper breakdown of phytic acid in hulls and improved absorption of nutrients, sprouted legumes, lacto-fermented vegetables, cultured fruit drinks, sourdough starter living in my fridge now. It sounded complicated and like a culinary challenge, but actually is amazingly simple and - no, really - very tasty.
