Japan already uses stem cells for the mouth. There are probably other countries that do so, too. Because a woman's lips healed while she was pregnant, I would not think this is a genetic problem or permanently damaged skin. But here is the link for the place in Japan:

There might be a little something to the callous theory since my lips healed while I did nothing to them when using the acidophilus. Maybe it was a little of both that healed my lips. But I am trying to figure out the cause so it does not come back.

There are natural vitamin C lip balms. I wonder if those are strong enough with power of vitamin C to make lip skin thicker. I wrote about it in my post above about a doctor's explanation.
