Comfort Zones

Xerox vs original. Also factor in context. This cannot be stressed enough.

Imagine if there was a spiritual text that said "Hey man" . Without context people would take this to mean something very different to what it actually means. One must understand context and the culture to get the meaning or we fall prey to many distortions.

The word "Father" for instance was an Aramaic term of endearment. It was not meant to be literal as we interpret father in our language in our culture.

Some will get this and some won't There are many distillation points along the path as more xeroxes were made and cultures changed so meaning gets more lost along the path.


Aramaic was the forerunner to Hebrew and Arabic. Then it distorts into Old English and many many dialects. Add to this all the influences that were injected and edited to reflect the state and church's agendas, and we are way off course.

Food for thought. Everyone will either explore information or cling to their comfort zones. Whatever you are comfortable with is fine.
