Re: John Michael Talbot--Jesus is Lord

I hope so too and thank you for explaining that beautifully. Christians are the church...whether they meet in a building or on the internet (in the spirit)

You are so right...we all have our own callings to serve Christ and not one is better than another. I do not come here to defend a denomination or promote a building instead of the temple of the Holy Spirit. My heart goes out to those seeking but can not find. Sometimes people will not see the beauty in anothers calling because it does not fit their own calling. I remember seeing my pastor and his children who loved playing in a band together, play a gig at a bar. Some people may raise an eyebrow to that but my heart saw a man and his sons doing what they love and then after the gig the father would move around the crowd and chat. People would comment on the music (non-Christian) and ask more about the group. What an awesome thing it was to see the expressions on their faces when he said he was a Pastor. People were so at ease with him because he was at ease with them. Spiritual questions would arise effortlessly. God was there in all His glory. People wanted answers that the booze didn't address.

My pastor is only a man but he can point people to God and it's up to them to continue the journey. We are all called to do the same.
