Re: Great Stuff! Couple of Questions
Hi Unyquity and All,
Larry here. I have read a number of posts here and am very much impressed.
For a little background and intro, we have come together as a family (Mother, two sons, daughter, and a fiancé) on a 38 acre farm in TN to do biodynamic farming and some animals Salatin-style (see Polyfacefarms.com). I’m the eldest and Carol is my mother. Carol is 78 yo, and has progressively lost mobility due to peripheral vascular disease, blockage, and possible nerve demyelization. She is beginning to experience numbness in the toes and pains in the feet due to circulation probs (imo). She walks with the aid of a walker and can use a cane (with increasing difficulty). Past history includes spinal stenosis, and broken hip. She used to be on much BP meds but we have turned this around with enzymes (serrapeptase) and Vit C/lysine/proline. Diet has been made consistent with Weston Price guidelines, organic produce, grass-fed meats, and recently, gluten-free. She is essentially off BP meds/diuretics, but this hasn’t improved circulation to the legs. She did do 22 EDTA venous chelation sessions in an attempt to work on Ca buildup in the lower body arteries (no apparent help - I would also like to try Mg therapy to try to slowly displace the Ca). She does smoke (< 10 per day). In July of 08 she had an MRA of the lower extremities – the concluding impression was:
1. The most significant finding appears to be a total or near complete occlusion of the left common femoral artery or proximal left superficial femoral artery with extensive collateralization seen and reconstitution in the region of the mid left superficial femoral artery. There is extensive collaterals noted in the proximal thigh and extensive peripheral vascular disease and atherosclerotic changes noted throughout the left leg as described. The doralsi pedis and peroneal arteries in the left calf are not well seen with extensive collateralization noted in the left calf consistent with significant disease on the left side and probable left claudication, recommend clinical correlation. Surgical consultation is recommended because of the occlusion in the region of the proximal left superficial femoral artery with collateralization.
2. On the right there is extensive atherosclerotic changes and peripheral vascular disease noted throughout without complete occlusion identified.
Interestingly, she has more probs with her right leg.
My thoughts are revolving around detox and something to regain circulation to the legs.
I am relying to this post because of what I read of Rocky53's treatment:
"Regarding Rocky53's turn around of PAD. It wasn't as simple as Cayenne (although that's obviously VERY helpful).
His daily regime (for quite some time) included:
--Raw Garlic 3-6 cloves daily
--Cayenne tincture or powder
--Ginkgo Biloba Tincture
--Red Clover Tincture
--Hawthorn Berry Tincture
--Ample water
--Ample exercise
--
Liver Flushing & coffee enemas
Red Clover and Ginkgo thin the blood; Gingko & Garlic are fantastic for as "scrubbing bubbles" for the inside of the arteries. "
Currently, Carol is building up cayenne powder dosages 3X per day. Carol is quite open to doing something about this outside of the mainstream.
Any and all suggestions much appreciated as well as links to appropriate info sources.
Thanks Much All,
Larry
