A 12 week stage fetus does not suck its thumb, it does not make fists, it would die outside of the womb.

As the majority of terminations are performed before 14 weeks gestation, unless there is a high risk of death to the mother. Late term abortions are rare, and in fact in my country are illegal, unless the risk to the mother's life is extreme.

This is an important part of the Abortion Debate . When is a fetus considered a baby?. The fact is that most people in my country, and yours, believe that a fetus of 14 weeks or less is not a baby, this is why abortion is legal.

If your beliefs are different to those of others, thats just fine, you are entitled to have your own beliefs, just like everyone else. The way democracy works though, is that if the majority of people believe a certain way, laws can be made to suit the majority view. You may not like it, but that is the reality of living in a democratic country.
