You got a dentist who could give you advice. My dentists always said "I don't know. Cut down on the pop since that dehydrates your lips."

Did you have any raw skin on upper lip? I think maybe swishing acidophilus (the one with folic acid in it) in mouth helps gingivitis (bad bacteria in mouth which may contribute to peeling lips). But the raw, triangular area on upper lip (that got mushy white all the time-probably from fordyce spots leaking) needed to be dried out in order to heal. The acidophilus liquid was a good way to dry that area so it could form a scab. Did you have any raw areas that needed to form a scab? Did the fish oil help to dry the raw area to form a scab?
