According to the christian cult that pretty much sums things up. Free will is directed to a dilemma. Serve a monster and kiss "hi" a s s for eternity or be thrown in a pit of eternal suffering (one story) or be snuffed out because you didn't worship the monster.

Free will indeed. Not exactly infinite potential no matter what spin is placed on it.
