I had the Mirena inserted at about the same age as you. It took almost 5 years of horrible side effects to figure out it was the Mirena. I wish I had realized earlier it was the Mirena before things got so bad: high blood pressure, weight gain, severe joint and muscle pain, hot flashes, carpal tunnel, pressure urticaria, tinnitus, sinus problems, sore throat problems, heart palpitations, exhaustion, and a damaged thyroid gland.
