Re: Sudden and painful Toothache

Hello Tony,

One of the exciting "discoveries" I have run across is that chlorine dioxide is capable of penetrating the micro cracks in teeth. This means that it is possible to disinfect a root canal without removing the tooth.

I am working with a dentist on this. We know that it is possible, but have not yet figured out a proper protocol, and don't know if it is actually feasible. The idea is to swish with a strong solution, then spit it out.

While this is not yet ready for prime time, the early testing is very promising. However, after the root has been disinfected, there is still the possibility of re-infection, so I don't know if this is progress or not. You still may have to have the tooth extracted to eliminate the dead space for the pathogens to habitat in.

Tom
