Sadly, I don't know how good olive oil is supposed to taste. I hope to find out soon!

I'm trying not to get scammed any more. Here's some info on olive oil that I've found:
AustinM, you seem to know quite a lot about it. It makes sense that the burning taste could come from it going bad. The good stuff only keeps for about a year, so if it was shipped from overseas and sat on the shelf at the store for a while, it could have been old stock.
That's why I ordered direct from Bariani and even ordered a bottle of the 2009 Early Harvest. I plan to keep all of this liquid treasure in the fridge. I'll let you know how I like it.
