Re: Klonopin and Seroquel Withdrawal

Any one can kick klonopin out, as I did years ago, if you know how, of course.

Years ago, I needed Klonopin after my divorce. I had to go to court almost every week for more than a year. It was a nasty divorce. I was so anxious, and so nervous, they prescribed it (8 mg a day). I hear people go to sleep with only a .5 pill. But I needed 2 mg in the morning, 2 mg at lunch time, 2 mg at dinner, and 2 mg at bedtime, these last 2 were accompanied by an sleeping pill so I could sleep. I was so sick that klonopin never made me sleepy; but I needed it to be able to work, leave the house, and function normally during the day.

Time passed, my divorce was final with all the troubles with it. But I had to keep my habit because i was already addicted to klonopin. After several attempts to stop it, my doctor told me: "do not stop it suddenly, because you can have seisures, even die..will end up in the hospital" Yes, he was right. " Better accept you have to keep that habit", he also said.

But I was tired all the time. No energy at all. Getting out of bed was so difficult because of it.

So, I made a plan to leave it on my own and said nothing to my doctor. How did I do it?

I reduced the daily pills by .25, I mean, I started to take 7.75 mg daily for two weeks in a row. Then, I started to take 7.5 mg daily, this time for a month (remember I had been on Klonopin several years already). I broke in halves many pills, and when the time for it came, I got smaller pills from the pharmacy (my doctor never knew I was doing this on my own). I kept myself going to the doctor for the full prescription because I was not sure about the final results of my technique, so I needed the extra pills at home to feel safe.

I remember that I stayed at the 3 grams daily for more than a month before I could reduce this to to 2 and 3/4 daily. I also stopped drinking coffee (gradually) and increased my exercise level (also gradually) to help my body in the process. I wanted to be tired in the healthy way to help my body sleep and deal with any nervousness in a healthy way.

Well, it took me almost a year....but I was eventually free of klonopin. I soon started to notice my improvement and my feelings of welbeing, my new energy in the mornings-that constant tired feeling dissappeared. I could not do it at once, and it took patience, but feeling a little bit better each time I reduced the dosage by a tiny amount helped me to be consistent.

You got to be patient, you can do it yourself if you are.

Most people are addicted to a lower Klonopin dosage. If I, alone, left behind 8 mg a day.... so easily, but with patience and some time...any one can do it.
