Re: Kefir
You might try asking over in the Natural Healing forum. They follow basically
Richard Schulze , Dr. Christopher and Dr. Gerson's methods. I'm taking the #1 and #2 bowel formulas (the first one to promote peristalsis and the second one containing some
Bentonite and charcoal to detox and pull out old stuff), and so far so good, though I've gotten out the old mucoid plaque (black rubbery ropes) a number of years ago even though THEN I thought I was clean, but that happened using Barefoot's de-wormer plus an off-the-shelf psyllium based
Colon Cleanse product. My gut has never been healthy, and those folks believe if you don't get that really cleaned out and the terrain right, you can never heal your other problems. I don't know what your diet is like, but they do recommending starting with juice fasting and the cleansing products, probably some other herbals, and I guess a raw vegan diet is the next step, though for me that usually means I end up eating too many nuts, and I think in winter I need more warm things and some cooked food.
I just recently went through an episode with a perforated appendix that landed me in the hospital, that included a LOT of
Antibiotics which I was really worried about, but the bizarre thing is I think that killed off some long term infection that needed to die. I can't say for sure, but between that and not having much of an appetite for awhile, then using large amounts of ecchinacea tincture and raw garlic that they recommended in the Nat. Healing forum, I am less bloated than before all this. I SHOULD do a juice fast with the slippery elm, potassium broth and some high enemas, but I haven't been able to make the time or muster the energy for that yet. I use castor oil packs externally, and I think that helps also. So far I'm not interested in taking it internally. I also think anything that will get oxygen and blood to whatever area you want to heal is helpful. They are big on cayenne over there, too.
Good luck!
