Re: Severe side effects with Cutler Protocol, please help!
I haven't been able to start the chelating yet, because of having a mess in my mouth yet (going to first biological dental appt this week)..but the Cutler book has been well worth the money. I'm glad I've been able to study it prior to chelating.
I had a reaction to ALA from having it a Liver detox supplement the ND had put me on. I don't normally get headaches, but I got noticable headaches when I started this supplement. I hadn't noticed that it had a big dose of ALA in it. The headaches stopped as soon as I set them aside. I watch for it in everything now. It's so common to have it in supplements, and is considered an antioxidant--wonder how many people are affected negatively by it without having an idea what the cause is.
I would never have known what was causing my headaches, had I not had the Cutler book. There have been several other supplements he's helped me figure out were causing problems for me too. Glutamine, is also a commonly used supplement, but I also got headaches from it too, and it wasn't until I randomly read in the Cutler book that it's because of ammonia. With the
parasite killing, and chronic liver problems, I knew I had an ammonia problem, but I never would have considered it with the Glutamine reaction.
DHEA was another supplement I didn't know was a cause of problems for me, until I read it in the Cutler book. I was having sore, lumpy breasts for the longest time, and had been taking DHEA, also through the ND, because of it showing up low on the saliva test for adrenals...
When I read in the Cutler book that if you have a sulfation pathway problem in the liver (which I had already figured out), that DHEA will cause breast soreness.
And, again, he was right.
