Re: bicarb soda and low stomach acid

Hi, Loosie!

There is huge diff between taking an isolated and simple chemical that is an acid or alkaline substance and taking a substance with an overall acidic or alkaline action that has many or all the alkaline minerals naturally complexed with it!!!

Citric acid [as an isolate supplement] can NEVER benefit us the way that good quality lemon juice or ACV [apple cider vinegar] can!

Baking soda or Alka Seltzer Gold/tri-salts can NEVER benefit us the way that top quality kelp or a personally customised version of the alkalising drink recommended at this forum can!!!

The alkaline isolates mentioned above usually function as no more than a triage/emergency treatment to force the body into better acid/alkaline balance without regard to which alkaline minerals may actually be needed.

This is better than nothing very short term, but can lead to very serious imbalances of the major alkaline minerals and many other problems if persisted in long-term without something like the alkalising drink, significant quality kelp consumption or much better quality fresh, local, in-season foods than most have any access to.
