We should focus on understanding how your government is influenced by the true powers and get out of the two party illusion. It's not about 2, 3, or 10 parties.

It is about who is influencing them and it is the same source.

A good starting place is to understand how the federal reserve works. Once you go down that road you will see the facade of the entire political system.
