Re: Mercury
You state, "the Candida are there to protect our body from the mercury." How does this happen? What research demonstrates this?
I've never had a problem successfully addressing fungal candida in my patients for the past 17 years without first addressing mercury.
Your second statement, "it's very important to address the mercury issue (if there is one) if you're going to have any hope of addressing Candida in the long term," is the one that I run into from time to time here and there that has no logic or research behind it. I find it to be misleading and in the long run creates hurdles that have to be overcome later on. Please provide the research behind your statement so that we can analyze it and draw conclusions. Candida is a serious issue that is affecting millions and millions of people globally thanks to the effect of antibiotics. In order to get more recognition for this problema and have it be taken seriously, its best to stick to the facts and research.
Most people will have some degree of heavy metal toxicity and that can be checked by doing a heavy metal challenge test through Doctor's Data or some other lab. Its a good idea to periodically cleanse heavy metals from the body. There's nothing however, that shows that it feeds candida or prevents its elimination.
