Re: The Sad Side of Fasting

Hi #120496,
I suppose much will depend on ones literal interpretation or otherwise of the Old Testament, and although the New Testament has been shown to be mostly historically accurate, I personally have some doubts as to reported lifespans.

You could well be right, and where my own diet is 99% plant-based, and where this has been demonstrated to reverse disease; but excluding meat entirely can be based on moral as well as health-grounds: consuming non-organic red meat is reported to be carcinogenic, so on the whole I do agree with you.

What I do know is what I have experienced myself: my health improved even more after consuming fish and organic chicken as a fraction of my overall diet.

The debate/controversy about diet rages on and especially so within Natural Hygiene circles, but I believe THE most important thing is the quality of the diet and that it is CR (Calorie Restricted) for better health and increased longevity.
