Re: The Sad Side of Fasting

Chrisb1,

I enjoyed your comments, but am curious about this last one:

"Even Jesus of Nazareth ate fish..........so what is good for the goose"

Adam and Eve were raw vegans and lived to be past 900 years old. Flesh eating wasn't introduced until AFTER the flood and the lifespan quickly dropped after then.

The Jews and Christians were allowed to eat meat, and Jesus was a Jew and thus ate meat, but Jews were also allowed polygamy and Jesus reinstituted monogamy...could it be that in the new scrolls that are talked about in the book of Revelation that we will go back to the Garden of Eden diet just like the pologamy was reversed back to Monogamy like back in the garden?

There are prophecies in the Bible of man and beast living in peace that wouldn't be able to be fulfilled if we are still using them as food...it also talks of lions eating straw.

Also Revelation talks about a river of life with trees bearing fruit on each side and the leaves for the healing of the nations...only after the flood when they ate meat and cooked food is there mention of running discharges, leprosy, and various other diseases.

Granted, the soil is not what it was back then, but the animals are eating foods from the same soil, so what can they provide that the grass and leaves that they are eating can't provide for us?
