There is a form of emphysema that is caused by a fungus/mold, etc (environmental elements). I've recently read about something called "Oil of Wild Oregano".

This isn't the same oregano that is used in spaghetti sauce. The stuff in spaghetti sauce has very little (if any) oregano actually in it - if memory serves me, it is made up of a mixture of marjoram and thyme with just enough oregano to call it "oregano".

I'm currently trying the wild oregano oil, although my emphysema was caused by smoking. What do I have to lose? It won't do any damage and there's always a chance it COULD do some good.

Anyway, I just started the treatment, so I've not had enough time to evaluate it properly. For anyone who wants to try it, you can buy it on ebay for under 10 bucks. It's completely safe to use. To be sure of getting the genuine stuff, make sure the oregano was grown and processed in the Mediterranean area. You should do a little research first, to ensure that this will serve your particular needs.

BTW - the oil of wild oregano is supposed to be good for eradicating fungus and other bad things from all over the body, not just the lungs.
