Re: Heartburn or heart problems??
Hi srharder!
It's prescription from a naturopath. It's a 12 week program we're doing, and I'm on the first 6 weeks with continued progesterone cream, and 3 other supplements (haven't picked them up yet). I also intend to start yoga or some kind of meditation during this period, to help naturally lower and maintain lower cortisol.
Also, if there's one in your area, I can't recommend highly enough a naturopath who deals in hormone balance. Mine is great, and it's wonderful to have a doctor take this whole Mirena withdrawal thing seriously, and order tests (ie hormone tests which show the relationship to cortisol etc.) that make me feel a little less crazy. As I'm sure many here have experienced, my primary care physician was not only incredulous, but has been downright rude when I've brought up the idea of a post-mirena "crash" -- even though many of the symptoms she's seen me for this past year resolved with the removal of the IUD.
Good news for me: I started my third post-Mirena period yesterday, which was long overdue!
I'll keep everybody updated on how things go -- esp. with my upcoming GI appointment.
Cheers!
