So the mold would be black? good to know!.. why black when usually on food it's white and green, (and black only when REALLY old and moldy), I wonder?
Anyway I'd be curious about the youtube video... what's the idea behind that? The dirtier the jar the better?? I don't think I really understand the Science behind Kefir.
I know that for example lactobillus(?) and such is GOOD bacteria, but I'm instructed (to aid health) not to take in "bad bacteria", ie- expired food, dirty pet hands in the mouth... in fact to try to rid of it by eating lots of good bacteria to help.
That's why I'm wondering where's the balance when I have expired kefir milk sitting in the fridge, unopened... about 3 wks past the expiration date..would it be better for my health if I ate it or tossed it?
