Re: food
Bless your heart......... I know exactly what you are talking about. I have "been there, done that." I can see what you are going through watching her suffer with your desire to help her heal. I will tell you, anxiety can make your life a "walk through the depths of hell." In the end, one can only present the information, and if the person does not accept it, all we can do is be there for them and love them. Too often watching in sorrow.
Doctors are a huge hindrance when it comes to natural health. Through their "superiority" they convince a patient that is not familiar with natural health that it is "bogus," "snake oil," and outright dangerous, thus putting doubts in their minds and instilling fear. After all, we have been taught since childhood to trust our doctors. They know what's best. Well, through my own experience I will tell you that in the majority of cases, they do not know what's best. The sad part is that their knowledge comes from what they have learned in school and they simply have no clue.
Another factor is her age. She is very, very young and impressionable. And with her symptoms, she is most probably scared. Who else is influential in her life that may be advising her that the doctor is the only one that can help her? And this is so far from true. Look at the drugs that she is on now that are not giving her much relief and it's very possible that some of the symptoms that she is experiencing are due to side effects from those very drugs.
Now....... Her thyroid could be a huge part of the problem. It could be that once that is addressed and corrected, her symptoms will disappear, unless the anxiety is emotionally based. The thing is, the medications that the doctor will give her will not really help a heck of a lot. I took Synthroid for hypothyroidism for 20 years and I never truly got over the fatigue. There was always some sense of tiredness along with other symptoms. And I am sure that this had a lot to do with my anxiety disorder. Well, one thing led to another and I was introduced to Trapper at the iodine forum. Through his guidance I now supplement with Iodine and I am one of the lucky ones. I was able to get off my medication. The thyroid is very delicate and I don't know the ins-and-outs as he does, but in some cases, once on medication, you may not be able to do away with it. Even then, he and his partners at the Iodine forum can guide one as to what to do.
uchihaMadara, do the best you can to talk to her. Maybe give her some reading material or even suggest that she join Curezone. In the end, that's all you can do. Hopefully, she will heed your advice or maybe you are planting a seed for the future. I just hate to see healing postponed. It means years and years of suffering.
My very best to you,
Luella
