Hey Van....so you're going to flush!!
Thought I would start a new thread since the one we have been posting on started a wee while ago now.
Yes, I have heard that the end of a fast is the traditional time to do a liver flush. I imagine your body will be good and ready for one then.
I don't know if there is anything to be aware of doing one after 40days of fasting or not. I haven't heard of anything.Maybe some of the more experienced flushers and fasters will have input on that.
I follow Dr Hulda's recipie - no fats in the morning (no problem for you there) fasting and no fluids after 2pm, the
Epsom Salts at 6pm and 8pm and the olive oil and grape fruit juice at 10pm followed by
Epsom Salts in the morning when you wake (but after 6am) and then two hours later. If you go to the
Liver Flush site there are actually a number of different recipies and approaches. One involves drinking apple juice for a day or two (some do longer) before hand. The malic acid in the juice dissolves and softens stones.
If you navigate to the curezone home page and search from there you will find an abundance of info. The
Liver Flush Forum has lots of peoples' experiences and plenty of advice if you need.
I found the first flush easy. The second flush I think my body knew what was coming!! My husband really gets goosebumps just looking at a glass of
Epsom Salts now!
I can understand you feeling flat after missing a scheduled run. The old body really gets into the groove of looking forward to exercise and the high that goes with it. Have you had a good blatt since then?
I have found my whole way of relating to exercise has changed since the fast. I used to associate it with health and maintaining my body - which I still do - but now my focus has really shifted to exercise being another way of cleansing and detoxing my body. I find that I get into the same mindset as when I was fasting - thinking flush, flush, flush!! Out toxins and I pump away on my cycle, pumping out the toxins, continuing the work I started on the fast.
I don't know much about kidney cleansing - I just did the lemonade, drank heaps of water and took psyllium husks. Herbs and the like have not traditionally brought about a good physical reaction in me. It is great if you can tolerate them though. They can be very beneficial.
It is getting late here in good ol' Singapore. We are just cooling down enough to go to bed after walking our two dogs. The rainy season is ending and the heat levels are creeping up again.I used to dread it....
But you know what I am thinking now, don't you?
Hot, hot weather - bring it on - sweat out those toxins!!! lol!!
Looking forward to your next post.
Thinking about you Dolly and sending those positive vibes!!
Love and Light
