There are many the world over who live lives that you would think God approves of, yet seem to be lacking of blessings. And, there are many the world over who do not live lives that would fall into the acceptable range, according to your beliefs, yet are well and healthy. I think it is too simplistic to find a direct and unfailing cause and effect here.
