Re: Telman advice needed

I was wondering this afternoon if you were prescribed Amitriptyline (Elavil) or similar tricyclic antidepressant, which is commonly taken for CFS. This drug helps sleep and increases the pain threshold and is taken a couple of hours before bedtime. Unfortunately it has the effect of stopping stomach emptying and food lies in the stomach all night. It would also appear to cause gallbladder problems if taken over a long period.

I don't think there is very much of a choice for biliary problems except for a flush protocol using olive oil and citric acid . The egg and lime flush appears to be a good tonic but has its limitations for curing a biliary condition. Bile will become normal in its own time although many people have a small bile pool and the solution to this appears to eat in a way to suit what you have.

I always considered Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome to be disappointing diagnoses because they appeared little hope. An older condition called Neurasthenia is characterised by general lassitude, irritability, lack of concentration, worry, and hypochondria; including painful sensations or numbness in parts of the body, chronic fatigue, anxiety, and fainting. Some medical historians believe that neurasthenia may actually be the same as the modern day disorder of chronic fatigue syndrome. It is characterised by persistent and distressing symptoms of exhaustion after minor mental or physical effort including general feeling of malaise, combined with a mixed state of excitement and depression. It may be accompanied by: muscular aches and pains, dizziness, tension headache, sleep disturbance, inability to relax or irritability. People suffering from it are unable to recover through rest, relaxation or enjoyment. Sleep is disturbed and restless, un-refreshing and often troubled with dreams.

This was certainly me some years ago but opting far a regime of paced exercise, relaxation, stretch and some psychology I am very different person now. The power of the liver-flush was pivotal in my recovery because it cleared away the secondary symptoms, gave me more energy which allowed me to exercise better, etc, etc.
