Re: The better quality your diet
OK thanks.
I'm absorbing this in my own time. I'm coming here daily and reading. I've been on all kinds of ways of eating iin the last 27 years of eating whole foods. In the 80s I was allergic to many foods and had to rotate foods. I've eaten some real bland foods so I won't have trouble adjusting to this. I've eaten ER4YT, SCD, low carb, medium carb, Paleo, 100% raw vegan, 50% raw, 66% raw, 44.7% raw, Pro-Vita! Plan, you name it.
As soon as I can learn what to eat, I will probably adhere to it. I just don't want to start avoiding foods until I have other foods to eat to take their place. I don't want to lose weight and have people wondering why I lost weight and talking / wonderingabout me.
I hope I don't ask too many Q's but do you eat animal proteins?
How to test Brix of grains?
I tried to test Brix of a banana [organic] in a little water and it seems to have a sharp line and about 6, but I may have forgotten the number.
For Supper I had Chili made of organic white beans, natural ground turkey from Earth Fare, onions, organic tomato paste, coconut oil, spices, organic Bunny Luv carrots [the ones that didn't test too high], and organic corn, with olives and some sliced turkey sandwich meat. I seem to do OK with animal proteins, which I eat 2-3x daily.
I eat grass fed ground beef once a day - have been for years. I get very high quality GF beef from local sources. It's the best GF beef I've ever had. I broil it lightly so it's raw in the middle and it melts in my mouth, is very tender, has yellow fat that's a good source of Omega 3, has a slightly gamey taste to it, but not too much so, almost like wild game meat.
