BTW, I use and totally love Dole's frozen pure pineapple juice. Consistently top quality.
Hmm. That's interesting. I do too. I've bought that for years and thought it may be something I shouldn't, because of GMO or pesticides or something, and I haven't bought it for a month or two, but I guess I'll get some more of it. I love it. I take a tablespoon of it frozen and add it to Perrier water and stir it, and it's like Pineapple soda and is a great thirst quencher. Lately I've been getting frozen organic grape concentrate and doing the same. It seems to test high for Brix and if I'm not mistaken is high quality. Now if I could figure out how to eat all high Brix foods, how long do you think it may take to notice benefits?
OK thanks.
I'm absorbing this in my own time. I'm coming here daily and reading. I've been on all kinds of ways of eating iin the last 27 years of eating whole foods. In the 80s I was allergic to many foods and had to rotate foods. I've eaten some real bland foods so I won't have trouble adjusting to this. I've eaten ER4YT, SCD, low carb, medium carb, Paleo, 100% raw vegan, 50% raw, 66% raw, 44.7% raw, Pro-Vita! Plan, you name it.
As soon as I can learn what to eat, I will probably adhere to it. I just don't want to start avoiding foods until I have other foods to eat to take their place. I don't want to lose weight and have people wondering why I lost weight and talking / wonderingabout me.
I hope I don't ask too many Q's but do you eat animal proteins?
How to test Brix of grains?
I tried to test Brix of a banana [organic] in a little water and it seems to have a sharp line and about 6, but I may have forgotten the number.
For Supper I had Chili made of organic white beans, natural ground turkey from Earth Fare, onions, organic tomato paste, coconut oil, spices, organic Bunny Luv carrots [the ones that didn't test too high], and organic corn, with olives and some sliced turkey sandwich meat. I seem to do OK with animal proteins, which I eat 2-3x daily.
I eat grass fed ground beef once a day - have been for years. I get very high quality GF beef from local sources. It's the best GF beef I've ever had. I broil it lightly so it's raw in the middle and it melts in my mouth, is very tender, has yellow fat that's a good source of Omega 3, has a slightly gamey taste to it, but not too much so, almost like wild game meat.

Hi Di.
It's Cascadian Farms organic. I diluted it with some water. Y'all can call me Joe if you want to, which is my real name.
I think it tested at around 20 and quite fuzzy.
Do you mean fresh organic or conventional grapes or both? I have a feeling you are referring to home grown grapes. They say grapes can be high in pesticides, so if they test high vvf Brix, does this mean to eat them, pesticides and all? We used to have nice Concord grapes in backyard vines.
