Re: Earthwork's DE has High Aluminum

After all of this .....Is it safe to take the Perma-guard brand?I bought 50 pounds of the stuff to share with family and friends so tell me please.

Being that the silica binds and removes aluminum then the risk is very likely to be minimal if at all. I am thinking about looking more in to the silicon citrate again. I have been using this in my water as an alternative to DE and I like it. But I have not looked at the analysis for it yet. It should be purified before reaction with the citric acid.

And if I can ask one more question on DE.Has anyone taken DE on a plane when travelling?I'm going on vacation soon and don't want to miss my DE for two weeks. But my hubby said no way am I taking that stuff on the plane before it is mistaken for some kind of drugs and we don't get to our destination!!!

It does look like drugs. And even though they can taste it to see it is not a drug you wold have to find someone to do that and all it still takes is one official having a bad day. I would not risk it. Mail a small amount to your destination ahead of time as long as it does not have to go through customs.
Pray tell me wise ones.
