It's interesting that you should mention Dr. Fuhrman. I read his book on fasting about a year ago and then I contacted his office.

I gave them my entire history- all of my symptoms and the length of time I have been dealing with them, my diet, and everything that I had done (up till that point) to try and rebalance my body..

Dr. Fuhrman responded by saying that in his opinion, fasting would likely provide no benefit for my severe case. He said that he could not recommend fasting to me.

I wrote back and wondered if he believed he might be able to help me with other methods (diet/supplements/etc) and he responded and said that in all honesty, he did not feel as thought he would be able to mitigate this condition.

I really did appreciate how forthright he was from the beginning. Usually practitioners would drop the bomb of telling me that they felt that they cannot help me after 6 months/year of treatment.

So, this is why I moved away from the idea of fasting after hearing this from one of the foremost experts on this.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. That's why I have spent over 10 years trying to rid my body of toxins and saturating my body with nutrients from fresh raw organic fruits and vegetables, nutritional fats/oils, pure water, etc. This has included juice "fasting" to boost my nutrient intake. I was going to possibly continue with water fasting after my initial 10 day-er, but I was advised that it was not recommended.

I truly wish it was just a matter of internal toxemia. That would be straight forward enough. This one is not that easy... Tweet
