Re: Second flush while fasting

Hi Cranky

What I have begun to notice with smells is this.

My sense of smell is still very, very acute and I still find smells like perfume and cigarettes unpleasant.

What I am finding though, is that for example, I can sit in a taxi with revolting air "freshner" blasting around it and whereas before I would have felt very sick and weakened by the trip - now I just find it very strong and unpleasant, but I am o.k.

Similarly, I ended up being out for a very extended period of time the other day (6hours) and had not bought any lemonade with me. In Singapore you have to drink constantly because of the heat. I had consumed alot of water, but needed energy.

I went to an eatery and ordered a glass of apple juice. I had them put the apple juice into two glasses and diluted it with water. Drank a little and then diluted it some more.

Historically the scillycillate levels of one apple alone have been enough to "tip me over". I break out in a sweat when I bite into an apple. The smell of the apple acts like a perfume - it seems to go right up into my very brain in an uncomfortable way, in tendrils of dull, aromatic pain that go up through my head. Once there, it is like it wafts down from there - the smell of it, for hours afterwards.I feel very headachey from it.

I have not eaten an apple in a long time.

I had drunk diluted apple juice in the past and the experience had been worse than eating apples.

So I drank this juice and it was so different to have this taste in my mouth and for it not to invade my head. I felt fine. I felt fine afterwards. The taste did not linger. It was pleasant.

I am still fasting - so have yet to do any challenges on any other foods. I don't have any planned in the short term. I plan to stay on my current restricted diet for two more Liver Flushes and see how I am from there.

For now, I just want to maintain this health promoting state and not risk setting it back with anything.

I know that it is a long process - but I am hopeful.

I went for allergy testing last week ( they do not test for chemicals and intolerances) however, their tests showed me to be allergy free. He tested all food groups and all flavourings - like cayenne pepper etc.and he said that he had never tested someone who did not react to anything before.

I do not know whether these tests are valid if you are tested while fasting. The tester seemed to think they were, but I do not want to get my hopes up.

I do plan to make an appointment with my endo this week to check my anti body levels and see if they have been affected by the fast - they have stayed at the level they dropped to when I cut gluten a year and a half ago.

I will also get her to do the blood test for dairy allergy and see if the results are the same as the person who tested me last week.

At the moment I am just being very careful and feeling quietly optimistic..
