Hi All
Tracey has asked me to post the details of my second flush - some details of which she spotted on the fasting forum.
To be honest - I wasn't going to post on this, because it is not a recommended thing to do while fasting, as it is considered to be too hard on the system and I didn't want to promote the idea in any way.
So I would like to say up front that I am not suggesting or recommending that anyone try or do this.
I trawled the archives for weeks to find other people who have done this while fasting. I found one person who had also found one or two and references to posts by someone called Pepe who apparently did the same thing i.e multiple flushes while fasting.
My story goes as follows:
I found this site and started fasting the next day. I didn't know how long I would go for. When something speaks to me, I do it. That's what I have always done.
I am 37 years old - have allergies to soy, dairy, wheat and intolerances to scilycillates, amines,
preservatives , colourings etc. Going by what I have read here, I suffer from chemical sensitivities. Just smelling someone's perfume can make me feel incredibly ill. I also suffer from auto immune hypothyroidism - so had also cut gluten from my diet, which did reduce my anti body levles by 2/3.
I am now on day 25 of my fast which consists of daily salt flushes, lemonade, lemonade mixed with psyllum about 3-5 times a day.
Tracey you asked about my BM's. For the first few days of the fast they were normal and lots of 'em. Then I had a week maybe two of diarrhea (sp?). Well, liquid with psyllum through it. Borwnish colour - like the colour of kiwi fruit skin - sometimes a bit lighter.
Then I began to alternate between the liquid deposits and mucoid plaque. The mucoid plaque was mormally at least a foot long and often up to 4 feet long.
It was balls of stuff rubbery stuff - almost play dough like in consistency, connectd by strands of the same stuff. Three or four movements a day of that for the last two weeks or so. Muddy brown in colour.
Like you I am unashamedly fascinated by BM's at the moment - so did all these things into a collanda! The last week or so my mucoid plaque has been appearing smaller and folded over and over. The same stuff when you unfold it, just smaller and folded in ways shapes that make it look like it has been tucked tightly into different parts of my digestive tract.
Ten days into my fast I did my first flush. For details of that flush click on other posts by me at the top of this post.Basically I found it a breeze. It only knocked my slightly in relation to my fasting. I felt a bit tired for a day or two.
One week after this first flush I did a second - last Saturday.I wanted to do it while my weight was still relatively normal. I had lost 1 kilo at that stage I think.
I found the second flush alot harder than my first. Partly because I was guiding my husband through his first flush at the same time.
9.45pm had rolled around and he hadn't had a bowel movement all day and I was not keen for him to procede without one. He WAS keen though - so gave him another lot of
Epsom Salts .
Well, his bowels moved. He had been doing the
parasite cleanse since the previous Tuesday and he passed three bowels of "white rice"
parasites between 9.45 and 10.00pm.
I busily manufactured enough lemon juice for two and prepared everything.
I didn't get to mix mine up very well in the end. I realise that I had nervously stirred it quite alot the first time.
It tasted horrible - globs of oil and gulps of bitter lemons.
I lay down and as with the first time felt a strong pulsing sensation just below my sternum. This lasted nearly an hour. I couldn't sleep for nearly 3 hours, even with the ornithum. I kept doing really stinky oil and lemon burps and they roused me.
Next morning took my
Epsom Salts (Note - the night before I only took one lot of
Epsom Salts at 8 - I figured my bowels would be clean enough 18 days into a fast.)
My MB's for that morning were all brown sludge - a camel brown colour? As usual I used my collanda. I used a bottle to pour water over my brown sludge over the toilet and this revealed small rice-sized stones exactly the same colour of the sludge. I did about 4 or five loads of this. It was thick - similar consistancy to cottage cheese. There were one or two small dark green stones in each of these deposits.
It was somehow quite deeply shocking to see something so sludgy, for want of a better word - and disgusting - it really reeked, come out of my system after some many days of passing nice sleek mucoid plaque.
I felt headachey and nauseous before each BM.I only drank one lot of epsom salts in the morning. First, because things were well and truly moving on their own and secondly because just thinking about it literally made me gag. I lost 2 kilos doing the flush.
That scared me a bit. 18 days into a fast and I had only lost 1kg, only to lose 2kg overnight. I felt pretty crook for 2 -3 days. Headachy and waves of nausea. I am still passing small brown stones as of yesterday - day 24.
I must say that from the
Liver Flush onwards my tongue became noticeably pinker and does so each day. This may have happened without the flush.
My husband passed bright green cottage cheese-like sludge made up of light and dark green small stones. He passed about four of five loads of this.
He had a very bad headache, stiff neck and nausea during the night which lessened with each BM in the morning and was gone by around 10am. He did not feel great till the next day.
He is very happy - his sense of taste and smell is so much more acute. He now really enjoys even very simple food.
He keeps asking me "What's that smell?" while we are out walking the dogs. Smells that have always been there, but which apparently he could not smell before.
Well, Tracey, I hope that covers some of the bases for you!
