Re: Another Wondering about Liver Cleansing
Method
I'm very much a skeptic when it comes to all the flushes and cleanes people seem to be into these days. Its my personal belief, that if you put the right stuff in (good quality food, water and supplements as needed), the body will utilise it and make any necessary changes or repairs.
This is one of the primary reasons that I don't believe in trying to artificially alkalise the body. Our bodies have the capacity to do this, if needed, or acidify, if needed. All we need to do is supply the right amount of minerals, vitamins and essential elements. to do this. Getting the right nutrients from food and herbs is the best way to supply the body, (I know there are exceptions to this in extreme circumstances).
There is a man in my town that has
colonic irrigation every week to maintain his weight. He says that if he doesn't do this he puts on weight and this scares him. What he didn't get was that it was what he was eating that was causing him to gain weight, all the
colonic irrigation was doing was preventing him from digesting the food and therefore preventing the absorption of the fats he was eating. When I suggested this to him, he replied that "I don't want to be watching what I eat all the time, I like to eat all the fatty food, and I like eating a lot, the
colonic irrigation keeps me from putting on weight so I'll do that instead of having to watch my diet". His attitude was, why do naturally what you can do artificially, even though he will eventually destroy his bowel.
