Re: What would be the Ideal Diet?

as we're talking of diet I want to check with you a coupe of things:

- how determinant do you think it is, for good health, to chew throughly? in the beginning of the century there was this guy, Horace Fletcher, who came out with the so-called fletcherism (don't check the wiki on this because it's flawed), that consisted on eating only when hungry, only when relaxed, and chewing very throughly the food. He had quite extraordinary results out of these simple principles, being able without previous training to outcome students of Harvard in weight lifting (him being in his 50's) or to ride a bicycle for like - oh well I don't exactly remember how many miles it was, let's say generically, a lot. He probably did strain himself a bit with showing off how in shape he was and he didn't reach the 99 years of his main follower, old Roosvelt.

-in the west we say never drink water at meals, because it waters down the stomach acids, but ayurveda suggests hot water, possibly energized (cooked on fire for 20 min), to help digestive fire - agni, in the proportion of 1/3 water and 2/3 food. What's your take on this?
