I cannot advise you on your problem.
I can tell you what happens to me when I take Iodine.

I used to have a resting heart rate of 90-100 beats per minute for many years. I also had a slightly elevated blood pressure. (nothing dangerous)

I got an Indian herbal medicine (from India) called Mukta Vati.
Since taking this, my blood pressure has gone down to normal levels. But even better, my resting heart rate is now 48-56.

Now, regarding Iodine:
I already was on Mukta Vati a long time before I started on Iodine.
I take 50mg Iodoral daily. About 5 mins after taking the 50mg of Iodoral, my heart rate drops even lower than 48. I think it's sometimes around 40. This lasts maybe 2 hours, then it rises back up to 50'ish.

Personally, I like it, as I'm just so happy not to have my heart pounding out of my chest all day long anymore.
40 pulse is very low, I know. But I don't know that there's any danger in this. I feel fine.
