I think you answered your own question right here;
Hypo T. causes several heart symptoms like palpitations and low heart rate.
Iodine will help, but it takes a bit of time; you have just started the journey? I would rather listen to this forum when it comes to Iodine than to some dr. that never really tried it with the protocol that belongs with it.
3 weeks is far to short time to cure a since ever problem.

Selenium, Sea Salt is important here; both have influence on heart rate and works wonders together with iodine.
The calcium magnesium ratio is also important; calcium make the heart contract, magnesium makes it relax. + Some vitamin c and I think you will be ok within months or possibly a year.
