Re: loss of vitality after KF

I hated doing the hot/cold shower the first few days, as(like almost everyone)I found it hard to be in cold water. I myself have adrenal fatigue and also low thyroid, with a chronically lower body temp. When my adrenals get more stressed I drop another degree in temp. So I would say I was pretty sensitive to cold water when I began doing hot/cold showers. I had not swam in the ocean in two years, for fear of being in the cold water. But I started hot/cool for the first two days. On the third day I turned off the hot completely and was suprised to find I could tolerate the cold. I did scream out and go through uncomfortable emotions, but I could do seven rounds of hot/cold. It was hard for two weeks but then got relatively easy. Then I went into the ocean, 61 degrees and had no problem. I smile now when I see people who won't go in the ocean, saying its too cold, etc., and now its 66 or higher. It was doing the hot/colds everyday that trained me for this; you get used to it and your body gets conditioned. I have never done a "regular" shower since my first hot/cold. I would feel I am cheating myself; my body wants the increased circulation and benefits of hot/cold.
Doing hot/cold is not the same as just exposing yourself to cold water. The back and forth of hot and cold increases your circulation which can only be good for your adrenals and everything else. I have never had a bad reaction to them, on the contrary they always make me feel better.
I would try to up your intake of water, also spreading it out. The body can only absorb so much at a time and its more hydrating to get it in smaller amounts more often than in larger amounts less often. But sixty ounces is not enough in any event, although its a good start and more than most people drink.
Its great what you're doing with IF's 1 & 2 and the other things you are doing. I do think Uny's adrenal tincture will help, also sleep is the fastest way to bring back the adrenals--along with eliminating the stress that caused the weakness in the first place(see Uny's post above). I do find the adrenal tincture to be more powerful for me than the ashwaganda.
