The GREATNESS of Cayenne!
Hi Lamby,
I'm sorry, for some reason I didn't see your first post but I'd like to respond to what you said about Cayenne.
"Regarding cayenne. Hmmmmmm. I know this is very beneficial for many things including my diabetes. My problem is that I have never been able to tolerate "hot or spicy" foods. I would like to build up that tolerance. I would welcome any suggestions on this subject. I guess just starting to add things that are "hot" to my foods little by little will help. I really want to get the cayenne from the storefront but will probably wait until I feel ready."
I know exactly what you're saying, I felt the exact same way. If I thought a food had even the tiniest bit of heat or hot I avoided it at all costs LOL. I still do, I have never understood how someone could even taste the food due to the hotness of the spice. To me the spicy hot over rides the taste of the food and I still don't eat spicy hot food.
So I freaked out when Uny recommended I use the Cayenne Tincture #1. My first thought was OMG I can't do this, but the thing was I wanted to heal and that was my main concern which enabled me to overcome my HATE of all things spicy hot LOL. I've read where Uny and others have said its easier to start slow and build up but to me this didn't make sense. Of course we are all different but my thinking was that if I even put a miniscule amount of hot in my mouth what difference would it make if I took the whole recommended dose to begin with. Hot is hot no matter how much you take.
You could liken it to it being a fairly warm day and you're going swimming and you know the water is COLD. Some people will pussyfoot around and little by little go deeper in the water all the while freezing their buns off, you know shaking and chattering teeth ha ha. What I have always done is dive right in and your body immediately acclimates to the cold and you don't feel cold at all after the one second shock. It is the same with the Cayenne Tincture. Don't get me wrong it will make your eyes water and it is hot. The first time I took it I did what I call the Cayenne happy dance all over the kitchen for a few minutes, I'm glad my husband wasn't home to see it cause he would have thought I was crazy LOL.
I didn't time it but I'd say the fire only lasted for 2 to 3 minutes and then started dissipating. I put it in a gulps worth of cold water and just slammed it down followed by another gulp of icy cold water. When you take it 3 or 4 times a day it only takes a couple of days to get used to the fire, then I promise you it won't be bad at all. I have a friend who wanted to try my Cayenne Tincture and like a dummy I gave her the whole bottle. She had it for a week and let me tell you that after a couple of days NOT having my daily x 4 Cayenne I started to feel the difference in my body. I didn't realize just how great it was and how great it was making me feel until I didn't have it anymore. I learned my lesson, I will NEVER be without my Cayenne Tincture for the rest of my life. Its just that GREAT.
Like I said I still don't like spicy hot foods because I like to taste the food not the hot, this might also be the same for you so I don't think adding a little hot to your foods would help you with taking the Cayenne. I promise just jumping right in with the tincture is the best way to go and the fastest way to get used to it. Also you won't be ruining your food with hot LOL.
I wasn't sick when I started taking it but I did have a circulation problem and once I got used to the Cayenne and had to be without it for a week believe me when I say I noticed a big difference in my body. It was like I could actually feel my blood getting thicker or sluggish is the best way I can describe it. Now I've said all of this and I'm being 100% honest with you, this is coming from a girl who had NEVER eaten anything spicy hot, could not tolerate spicy hot food. Cayenne is healing for a multitude of things, in fact I would go so far as to say I think it is the BEST thing a person could have on hand at all times. I think if you would just take that plunge and give it a couple of days you'd never look back and you'd know you're doing a great thing for your body by using Cayenne.
So to bring this very long post to an end LOL, I say the best thing for you to do is NOT think about how much you HATE or can't tolerate spicy hot because the more you dwell on that fact the more FEAR you'll have in taking it. Fear begets more and stronger fear but taking the plunge toward healing will empower you to take more and more steps toward healing your whole body. Read everything you can get your hands on about Cayenne, knowledge is power and knowledge will over ride fear every time!
I've been where you are and felt what you're feeling and I have overcome my fear of HOT and I KNOW you can do it too.
