Pretty impressive to see a parent that actually cares for the child's health enough to do this work. I think you did your homework to trace back from the eczema to the liver. It will be hard for the child to understand all this but the child should not have much difficulty understanding the benefit of getting rid of eczema. If it's bad eczema then it's a nightmare.
