I think what she meant was that she doesn't like the idea of shaving. It doesn't appeal to some women because they think of it as being "masculine" to shave.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. To me, if one has moustache or beard growth of the sort that men have, then that's a fact whether we like it or not and the best way that's been found to remove that is, in my opinion, shaving. If one has a much lighter growth of hair, then there are a number of other options which may be practicable.

I certainly find shaving much preferable to the other options practicable for me -- my moustache was so heavy by age 15 that it was a case of shaving every day. I guess I beat most of the boys my age to daily shaving :-). But it certainly didn't stop me getting a husband or having a family.
