Even when raw, go lightly...Re: Fats on the IP Re: Add straight Slippery Elm to the smoothie, but...(and)...:) Re: Any qualms about adding slippery elm powder to Superfood recipe?

I'm with Uny here. I had the same questions, especially with coconut oil, which might as well be candy for me. I LOVE the stuff. I see Schulze only mentioning olive oil for flushing. Christopher rotating castor, wheat germ, and olive for massages and adding wheat germ oil for Vitamin E, and Gerson only using flax oil.

I think as long as a person on the IP is juice fasting, s/he needs to be strict, strict, strict. That first 30 (to 90???) days needs to be hit as hard and heavy as possible. But at some point, the IPer is going to add raw food to their food program. What I have been adding for both healthy fats and protein are a few raw nuts and seeds. But I closely limit these, because it is easy to go hog wild.

Once we are "all better," there are all kinds of wonderful, healthy additions we can make to our lives. But while we are on the Incurables Program, we are in "training mode," and we have to maintain self-discipline. I don't know why these great healers didn't add these other oils, but they didn't. They DID get people well, though, so we need to stick to the plan.

Speaking of training, I need to get back at it...

Hugs,

Wings
