Fats on the IP Re: Add straight Slippery Elm to the smoothie, but...(and)...:) Re: Any qualms about adding slippery elm powder to Superfood recipe?

This issue with "fats & oils" IS a toughie.

- Dr. Schulze s IP had NONE (other than the olive oil for the 5 day liver cleanse, and big flush).
-Dr. Christopher's IP had full body oil massages (alternating between castor oil, wheat germ oil, and olive oil) on his IP (but NONE taken orally) - On the Mucusless diet, he recommended 3T of wheat germ oil daily (plus, whatever olive oil one used for cooking and salad dressings) - however the Mucusless diet is NOT the "IP"
--Dr. Gerson had ONLY one/two tablespoons of flax seed oil, but started out with no oil/fats...and tried & eliminated many before deciding on flax seed oil. Absolutely NO other oils are EVER allowed on the Gerson program (and the two tablespoons is cut to one tablespoon after starting the protocol)

Because I'm aware that the IP seems to be missing any good source of Vitamin E ( Dr. Schulze s new Superfood adds Palm Fruit for Vitamin E), and because I know virtually no one is going to do 'full body oil rubs' every day...I've added daily Wheat Germ oil to the protocol - this may change if I can find a food/herb source that is inexpensive and available to add to the protocol.

Our body of knowledge (and selection) of various oils now-a-days is phenomenal compared to what these healers had at their disposal - yet MANY of these oils and information about them are based on "alternative science", that may add up to being no more than a band-aid, or possibly even harmful (think: Gerson and "NO fats EVER" except for one small tablespoon of high quality flax seed oil).

I take fish/flax oil capsules daily (Rx Omega 3), but I likely wouldn't take anything except high-grade flax seed oil (or other incurable) - no matter WHAT my weight.

To answer your question: "techincally" coconut milk is actually coconut 'juice' (if we could get that). I think the canned stuff we get is likely very different and 'condensed' than true coconut juice (but I don't know that for sure). So, a bit of that now & then shouldn't be much of an issue.

But coconut oil is a totally different ballgame (as with all the other oils - "beneficial claims" or not). What I know is, the 3 healers that I feels are the greatest of all time, allowed virtually no oil on their protocols of any kind (except for Schulzes use of them for liver flushing). So other than the wheat germ for Vitamin E (it's also a "specific" for those with Muscular Dystrophy), my official word is "no added oils or fats"...especially when juice fasting.

Blessings -

Uny
