As for Michael dangling his infant son,
he claimed, and obviously did, have hold
of the infant securely. As a young parent,
myself, I did a few things with hindsight
which were absolutely things most people would
not. Certainly they showed lack of judgment
and immaturity. I will confess to taking
a ride on the Missouri River with my week
old infant. It was at night and even the
friend who asked me if I wanted a ride to
the other side did not see it the way my
husband saw it when he could not find us.
I was not even wearing a life jacket and
it was so dark on the river you could only
see a sliver of moon and a sky full of
stars. I remember it as a grand ride but
if I had to do it all over again, I would
not take the chance of something happening.
I think Michael was caught up in the moment
of wanting to share his son with the crowd
below. Of course if you are a celebrity,
anything you do, is taking a chance. Look
what happened when John Lennon decided to
step outside the building he lived in...

Its a done deal now though and I think
people are going to focus on the
accomplishments of this man which are
closer to the truth of his life...
