Eating according to your body type


A co-worker of mine was having a host of health problems (bloating, sinus infections,severe back pain, fatigue, and so on). She was referred by another friend of ours to visit this Korean acupuncturist who after a lengthy consulation recommended that according to her body type she should avoid certain foods (chicken, turkey, and brown rice to name a few). And, he recommended foods that she should be taking more of (cucumber, basmati rice ). She says she has been on his recommendations for 2 weeks now and she can notice a 50% improvement in her health. Her back pain is less, her sinus are starting to clear up and she feels it is contributed to her new diet. I was wondering what your thoughts were? I was thinking about paying this guy a visit as well. He doesn't do any blood tests, but rather he has 4 page questionnaire and looks at your body type from shape of face to the color of your skin and so forth. He then determines which of the five elements are out of balance (earth, water, fire, wood..etc.)
