Re: Perimenopause question

Would you believe I'm 55 and still in perimenopause and in a major depression. I have a family history of Depression and was told that women who have previously had a bout with Depression (and
I have)could go into a major Depression with perimenopause. To make a long story short, I am on prozac and the pill to regulate my harmones which are all over the place right now. So this is a good combination of predicaments. It's been terrible, but I am being helped and I believe in Prozac completely, side effects or not I'd rather deal with them. It works for me. This is not a good quality of life to live this way. And I share my situation with as many people as I can, you wouldn't believe how this helps someone with depression. I have a wonderful husband and a terrific identical twin sister, both have been my "rocks" through all this!

I was thinking of writing a book about this after I feel better, but I encourage you to do it, since you have the expertise. We are not alone and I think a lot of women have to know this.

Good Luck!

Joan
